Mũthoni Kiarie
A spinner of dark tales and an ardent worshipper of the sun, Mũthoni Kiarie lives in her adoptive home of Oakland, CA, but constantly pines for her original home, Kenya. She is a recipient of the 2013 Joseph Henry Jackson Award from The San Francisco Foundation, for her novel-in-progress. Her stories have been published in Narrative Magazine, Dismantle: An Anthology, The Weeklings, and Generations Literature Magazine. She is an MFA graduate from Mills College and an alumna of both the Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation and the Las Dos Brujas Writers’ Workshops.
