TA Penny is a poet, educator, community organizer, and collagist from Mississippi, whose work appears in Swannanoa Review, Crab Creek Review, Narrative, Northwest Review, Best New Poets, and beyond. A finalist for Narrative’s Poetry Contest and the Crab Creek Review Poetry Prize, Penny has earned the Joseph Kelly Prize, grants from Poets & Writers, and fellowships at Monson Arts, Taleamor Park, the Peter Bullough Foundation, Vermont Studio Center, and Jentel Arts. They co-host the iconic KGB Bar Monday Night Poetry Series, teach at Stevens Institute of Technology and Suffolk County Community College, and live in Brooklyn, NY.
