Bonnie Ilza Cisneros is an essayist, educator, editor, all-vinyl DJ, and mother of two from the South Texas borderlands. Her poems and essays appear in El Retorno, Chicana/Latina Studies, Buckman Journal, River Teeth, and El Placazo Barrio Newspaper. Most recently, her essay “The Ana Files” was included in Creative Contemporary Nonfiction, an anthology edited by Debra Monroe. Bonnie performs at cultural events, cantinas, and cemeteries, and she is currently at work on two collections of Anzaldúan autohistoria/creative nonfiction.
