Nicolas Rivera is an third-year Fiction Candidate in the Texas State M.F.A Creative Writing Program. His work can be found in a handful of literary journals and publications, in print and online, and his thesis/debut novel, Haymaker, is in the final stages of revision. When not reading, writing, or teaching, Nicolas enjoys live music, exploring outdoors, and spending time with loved ones—especially his K9, Nellie.
