Allie Broussard
Allie Broussard is a poet, artist, and fiction writer from the Houston area. She is currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing at Texas State University, where she also earned a BA in English. When she isn’t writing, she can be found watching horror movies, reading by the San Marcos river, or spending time with her cat, Max.

In the deconstructed jaws of burnout, what was mine? The shards of poems, fragmented lines, didn’t feel like mine. They felt like a simulation of words I’d once written, a desperate clawing at images that once drew my eye.
