Ilza J. García (she/her/ella) is a Chicana mother, writer, artist, and educator who writes about intergenerational healing & wisdom, family, identity, and borderland communities within shifting landscapes. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Texas State University and an M.Ed. from the University of Texas at Austin and serves as an editor for Mouthfeel Press, where she elevates writers exploring borderlands in their work. Ilza has 20 years of experience in education, creating writing communities for people of all ages and helping people find connections between English, Spanish, and their interwoven cultures.
