Tom Grimes is the author of five novels, including A Stone of the Heart, Season’s End, City of God, and WILL@epicqwest.com, as well as Mentor: A Memoir, which was a finalist for the 2011 PEN/USA Award for Best Work of Nonfiction, and was chosen as a Best Nonfiction Book by The Washington Post and Kirkus Reviews. He edited The Workshop: Seven Decades of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, from which he graduated. He is the former longtime Director of the MFA program at Texas State.
