Eduardo Antonio Parra was born in León, Guanajato, Mexico in 1965. His novels and story collections have garnered numerous national and international awards, including the Juan Rulfo International Short Story Award, Antonin Artaud Prize for Literature, and a Guggenheim fellowship, and have been translated into ten languages.
