D.R. Garrett is an award-winning filmmaker, writer, and poet who has been putting pen to page for over twenty-five years. Her short story, Wild Horses was nominated for a 2022 Pushcart Prize and her poetry and fiction have appeared in DMZ, Modes Operandi, and Active Muse. Currently she resides in San Marcos, Texas where she is working on her first book, pursuing an MFA degree in fiction at Texas State University, and teaching introductory writing. She loves animals, rainy days, and punk rock music.
